Pocket Call (a poem)

Pocket Call (a poem)

Would you hold back
Every action you’re making
To learn the source of that distraction?
That initial hope
That it’s that person
That makes a mark,
Matters the most
To that specific moment
Until you find it’s unknown,
The mechanical voice
That has no rights
To vibrate your pocket
And disrupt your time.
