Poem #158

Poem #158

The stain on your lips
may come off if the tongue
is furious enough,
if another liquid finds a path
like colourful gloss or
wet varnish and makes another layer.
Never be fooled by the softness
or sweetness of the extremity,
as it can prize apart and echo
a thought that would cause chaos
greater than the distaste of contact.
