Homebound (a poem)

Homebound (a poem)

Respected because I stopped
To hear his repeated cause
That stops progress, erodes respect.
Pleaded because he’s homeless,
Needs pledges for cash causes
Before the bleeding lessens.
Touched because of differences
Between causes of hand appearances
Differing amounts of fingers.
Abandoned because he doesn’t sit
Or beg with signs unfit
To highlight the causes of abandonment.
Empowered because I remembered
Every other time that could cause
Powerful people not to be recalled.
