Poem #87

Poem #87 by David A. Church

Missed platform time,
Left with man tannoy,
A bench without many legs,
Folded paper of potential,
Attract the fattest passenger,
Slick hair and razor beard,
The repeated messages relayed,
Changes to arrival, carriages,
Various curses in response,
Until packed tight inside,
Before doors close then rattle,
Forget extra weight and excess.
